Consolidated Communications of Texas Company Bargaining Report #11
The Union and Consolidated Communications of Texas (Lufkin/Conroe) continued negotiations Wednesday, October 16, 2019. Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company multiple times to discuss the issues on the table.
The Union made some very tough statements to the Company, letting them know that we needed some movement from the Company regarding wages and healthcare. Our Committee is demanding a substantial wage increase and a healthcare plan that does not have huge changes in deductibles and premiums. We also need jobs in the Call Center to be filled by regular full-time employees and not contractors.
The Committees recessed for the evening after a long day of meeting. Your CWA Bargaining Committee will continue discussions on our contract when we go back to the table on Thursday, October 17, 2019. We need the support from all our members and we need to let management know that we need a fair contract as soon as possible, we deserve it.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee
