Consolidated Communications of Texas Company Bargaining Report #10
The Union and Consolidated Communications of Texas (Lufkin/Conroe) continued negotiations Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Your Bargaining Committee and District 6 Leaders were very upset that the Company did not make it to the bargaining session on Monday, October 14, 2019 as committed.
The Company did make it to the bargaining session on Tuesday and we had discussions regarding all Union and Company proposals and counter proposals on the table. We emphasized to the Company that we did not want any regression to our current CBA; we wanted to improve it and needed a substantial wage increase. We are working extremely hard and many hours to reach a fair contract for our members.
The Committees recessed for the evening after a long day. Your CWA Bargaining Committee will continue discussions on our contract when we go back to the table on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. We need your support from all our members and we need to let management know that we need a fair contract as soon as possible, WE DESERVE IT.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee
