Final Bargaining Report 3
After months of bargaining over wages, pension and a ratification bonus after the last agreement was rejected, the bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement with Brightspeed of Missouri, Inc. formerly Lumen/CenturyLink of Missouri on a new collective bargaining agreement. The following summarizes the changeswe were able to make in order to get a TA. The Company agreed to full retro-activity back to October 3, 2022.
Wages will be paid to all employees on the active payroll at the time of ratification. Note: the actual effective date of the wage increase will be the first day of the pay period closest to the below noted dates.
Year 1 – 3% increase to base wages – retro-active to October 3, 2022
Year 2 – 2.5% increase to base wages – effective October 3, 2023
Year 3 – 2.5% increase to base wages – effective October 3, 2024
Year 4 – 3% increase to base wages – effective October 3, 2025
Year 5 – 3% increase to base wages – effective October 3, 2026
- Contract expiration date – October 30, 2027
- Prior to the 3% increase to base wages in Year 1, .20 cents will be added to the 60-month step of all wage groups.
- Amend CP #11b – Article 18 – Pension Plan – modify pension freeze date to October 30, 2024.
- The Company agrees to reimburse employees up to $150 for the purchase of safety footwear for the life of the agreement. Footwear must be purchased and expensed by October 30, 2027; receipts are required.
- All employees on the active payroll on the ratification date of the contract will receive 8 hours of holiday pay at their regular straight time rate in lieu of the 2023 Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
- Replace all contractual references to CenturyTel of Missouri, LLC dba CenturyLink to Brightspeed of Missouri, Inc.
- Change dates of agreement to March 15, 2022 through October 30, 2027.
