City of Independence Bargaining Report #8

The Union and City reached a Tentative Agreement yesterday on a new 3 Year Work Agreement.

The Union will hold ratification meetings on Monday, October 4, 2010, at the IAFF 781 Union Hall, 320 E. Pacific, starting at 7a.m., 1p.m., and 3p.m.  

We made improvements on the following:

Article 9 - Union Representation;
Article 13 - Seniority;
Article 16 - Hours of Work;
Article 17 - Wages;
Article 18 - Overtime Pay and Comp Time;
Article 20 - Vacations;
Article 21 - Holiday

The Committee recommends ratification.
