CenturyLink of Missouri Bargaining Report #8

The two Committees did not meet today. The Union spent the day preparing for the next round of negotiations and studying the remaining Company proposals still on the table. The Company proposals include Article 3 – Grievances, Article 5 –Arbitration, Article 24 Seniority. The Company has also proposed new contract language on a Uniform Program and a Recognition and / or Incentive Program. In addition the two Committees have not come to agreement on language regarding No Reduction In Headcount.

The Company has proposed retrogressive bargaining demands on Article 16 – Sickness and Disability Leave which includes five waiting days with no pay for all employees, Article 26 – Overtime and Sunday Time / All Departments, Article 25 – Job Vacancy – All Departments.

The Company has not agreed to the Union’s proposals on extending the Memorandum of Agreements regarding the Lump Sum Payment Option, the Team Performance Award, and the Hourly Relocation Plan.

The Union continues to study the Company’s Health Care proposal as well as all the remaining proposals left on the table. Negotiations will resume between the Union and Company on Monday, March 7, 2011.
