CenturyLink of Missouri Bargaining Report #4
Bargaining Committees for both the Union and the Company resumed negotiations this morning. The Company presented four new bargaining proposals to the Union. They included new language on sickness and disability, new proposed language on part time employees, a retention / reimbursement proposal and a work schedule proposal for retail employees. The Union presented amended proposals on Article 10 – Contracting and Transferring Work Out, Article 27 – Work Schedules All Departments and Article 29 – Evening Meal Expenses. The Union also countered the Company’s proposal on Article 25 – Job Vacancy. The Union and Company spent a lengthy session asking and answering questions regarding each other’s proposals.
The Union worked into the night studying the Company’s proposals. Negotiations are scheduled to resume on February 22, 2011.
