CenturyLink of Missouri Bargaining Report #2

Yesterday, February 17, 2011 the CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company to begin negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement.  After introductions and housekeeping items were addressed an opening statement was given by CWA Committee Chair Mike Neumann. 

The Union presented their bargaining proposals to the Company.  The Company then presented nineteen proposals to our Committee.  The Company said they would present four additional proposals to the Union early next week.  The parties recessed with the agreement to study the proposals and get back together to ask questions. 

The Committees reconvened in the afternoon to ask and answer questions.  The Committee then worked into the night in preparation for tomorrow’s session.  Bargaining will resume on February 18, 2011.
