CenturyLink of Missouri Bargaining Report

The CWA Bargaining Committee traveled to St. Louis on February 9, 2011 and worked for three days going over the bargaining proposals in preparation for negotiations.  The CWA Bargaining Committee includes Gene Whitfield – Local 6300, Danny Rice – Local 6312, Gary Kolb – Local 6373, and Mike Neumann District 6 Staff Representative.  The Committee worked long hours including late nights in preparing for negotiations with the Company. 

Bargaining will begin at 9:00 a. m. on Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Wentzville, MO.  The Union Committee is prepared for tough negotiations with the Company.  Based on other bargaining taking place around the country the Committee expects the Company to bring a number of retrogressive bargaining proposals to the table. 

The Committee appreciates the support of the Locals and we are committed to doing whatever it takes to get a good contract from the Company. As negotiations take place we encourage all members to participate in any mobilization efforts conducted by your respective Locals. The Union Committee will provide bargaining reports that will be posted on the District 6 website (district6.cwa-union.org).
