CenturyLink Northwest Bargaining Report #4

Today the two committees met up until expiration in an effort to reach an agreement for both Central and the Northwest contracts. We were unable to reach a tentative agreement for Northwest and again for the Central contract. The issues that stand in the way of reaching an agreement are Uniforms, Wages, Job Bidding, Recognition and Incentives, and Healthcare.

The current contract will still remain in effect until further notice and the Union’s committee stands ready to go back to the table to continue to negotiate. These are issues that will be detrimental to both the Union and our members if we allow this retrogressive language into the current contract. We CANNOT and WILL NOT stand by and let this happen.

Mobilizing efforts and activities are going to be planned and shared with the bargaining unit. We NEED full participation. Updates will be on the recorder and website.
