CenturyLink Northwest Bargaining Report #3
Today the two committees met in an effort to reach an agreement for both of the contracts that we currently have out. The Union’s Committee still has some concern and heartburn over the 5 major issues: Job bidding, Uniform program, HealthCare, Wages, and Recognition and Incentives.
The Union’s Committee was very adamant that if the company wanted movement in some areas, we needed movement as well. We are not willing to take the language that they are offering and then not be willing to give something in exchange. The dialogue was quite extensive, but the company is still not showing any significant movement.
The two committees have agreed to meet tomorrow to continue the talks.
Remember to wear your Union Red on Thursdays and Black out on Friday! We will be in communication about upcoming mobilization efforts! Let your supervisors and community know that we are in talks and that we want a FAIR and EQUITABLE contract!
In Unity,
Your CWA Bargaining Committee
