CenturyLink Kansas/Missouri Local 6372 Bargaining Report #5

The Union and Company did reach an agreement on the following: Amended Company Proposal 10, Job Bidding and Amended Company Proposal 16, New Classifications. However, we were not able to reach an agreement on Company Proposal 4, Use of Contractors. The Company gave the Union a second “Last Best and Final Offer”, which includes a wage increase of 1.25% in 2012, 1.25% in 2013 and 1.75% in 2014, bring Missouri hourly rates in line with Kansas rates and the Company agreed to look at the feasibility of merging the Kansas and Missouri contracts into one contract.  The “LBF” also includes all of the proposals we have agreed to.  Your bargaining committee will be setting up meetings with the Members as soon as practicable to fully explain the Company Offer prior to contract ratification ballots being mailed out. The vote has to be completed by May 7, 2012. Your bargaining committee “RECOMMENDS RATIFICATION”!!! I want to personally thank the bargaining committee for all of their hard work during this round of negotiations. In Solidarity, A.J.
