CenturyLink Central Arkansas Local 6171 Bargaining Report #17
CWA and CenturyLink Bargaining Committees met in a joint session on Thursday. The Company responded in part to the Union’s recent information request concerning Job Bidding, Flexible Spending Accounts, Sickness Disability, Worker’s Compensation, and Job Title change on Facility Technician to Structure Loader. The joint committee continued to have discussion around the Company proposals that they are holding on that the Union’s committee has rejected as they are currently proposed. The Company has twelve (12) proposals that are still unresolved and the Union has twelve (12) proposals that are still pending resolutions.
The Union’s Committee remains steadfast in our efforts to reject the Company’s attempt to further dilute the existing benefits in our contract. We remain hopeful that we’ll obtain a tentative agreement that is fair and equitable for our members that represents your loyalty as employees of CenturyLink.
