CenturyLink Central Arkansas Local 6171 Bargaining Report #16
CWA and CenturyLink bargaining committees met in a joint session on Tuesday January 5, 2011. The committees made efforts to reach common ground on outstanding proposals that are still on the table on both sides. The committee discussed proposals on Net Credited Service, Company Uniform Policy, Job Title changes, Worker’s Compensation and Bulletin Board Usage. There are other proposals still on the table that were not discussed today. The Union’s committee remains steadfast on reaching a tentative agreement that includes some improvements in benefits and wages and we are determined to stop the retrogressive concessionary bargaining of CenturyLink.
We encourage you to remain supportive of our efforts at the table. Continue to let CenturyLink know you deserve a fair and decent contract.
Remember to wear your Union Red on Thursdays and Black on Fridays! We will be in communication about upcoming mobilization efforts!
In Unity,
Your CWA Bargaining Committee
