Central Telephone Company of Texas-Century Link Bargaining Report #11
Your CWA Bargaining Committee and Century Link of Texas met Wednesday, November 20, 2019 and Thursday, November 21, 2019 as we continued our intense discussions with the Company fighting to protect and improve our 2016 Collective Bargaining Agreement which had expired September 30, 2019. The Company wanted too many give backs but your Bargaining Committee stood strong and would not give up fighting for our members.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019 at around 6:30 pm, your CWA Bargaining Committee announced that they had reached a three (3) year tentative agreement with Century Link. Several improvements that we gained include wages, vacation time, termination pay, differential pay, retro-pay, and job security. In addition, other areas in the CBA were protected or improved.
Your CWA Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends ratification.
