Black Hills Energy Bargaining Report #1

 

The Union and Company kicked off bargaining on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in Lawrence, Kansas.  The Union gave its opening statement which included comments regarding a substantial wage increase, Improve health care/benefits language, incentive bonus, PTO’s and reduce outside contractors.   The Company will make its opening remarks on November 5, 2014. The Company presented the Union with five proposals; amend Article II, amend Article III, amend Article V, discuss Article XII and XIII, and amend Article XXII.  We reached agreement on amending Article XXII, but did not agree on any other proposal. We are scheduled to meet again on November 5 and 6, 2014. In Solidarity, Your CWA Bargaining Committee
