BARGAINING REPORT #8 CENTURYLINK OF MISSOURI Local 6300, 6311, 6312 & 6373
The Union presented a verbal proposal for the Company to consider due to the changing environment related to the “coronavirus” and the impact it is having on our members; Two (2) year contract extension plus a 2.5 % wage increase in 2020 and 2.5% wage increase in 2021.
The Union and Company reviewed each other’s proposals. The Company REJECTED the following proposals; UP6, Article 19, Wages, Compensated Availability Schedules, UP 16, Article 24, Seniority, 24.3, Bridging of Service and UC to CP14, Article 26, Overtime and Sunday Time. The Union continued to hold its position regarding; contracting by exchange, eliminate Sunday schedule time and one half (1.5) pay, Pension freeze, VEBA, eliminate daily overtime, mandatory 4 day 10 hour work week, use five (5) vacation/personal days for workers compensation leave, and eliminate two (2) times pay after eight (8) hours on a holiday.
After a short break the Company REJECTED the Union's proposal to extend the contract by two (2) years. We are scheduled to resume negotiations on Monday, March 23, 2020.
