Actions to Raise the Minimum Wage for ALL WORKERS!

On Monday, February 22, 2021, workers across the nation will gather to call for the implementation of the Raise the Wage Act, a crucial bill that will raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2024 and eliminate the federal subminimum wage for tipped workers, which is currently around $2.13 per hour. The predatory wage practice disproportionately hurts women, who are represented about 75% of tipped workers. During the covid crisis, the inequities of workers have been magnified. We must fight together to ensure a living wage, comprehensive covid relief, equitable vaccine distribution, and union rights for all workers.

One Fair Wage, SEIU, and Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival are hosting socially distanced in-person events to ensure the passage of the Raise the Wage Act. All events will start at 2:30 PM ET/ 11:30 AM ET! At CLUW, we are proud to co-sponsor the day of action. Please note: supporters should wear face coverings should be worn at all times to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19 if they would like to participate. At CLUW, we do not encourage members to attend if they have compromised immune systems or health conditions at increased risk of severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19.
