On Friday, July 20, 2012 Local 6171 Bargaining Committee had further discussion on the proposals that were presented to the Union yesterday. The Health Care premium sharing was insulting. It seems that Verigreedy forgets the sacrifice we have made to make this company very profitable. We have seen our brothers and sisters become victims of numerous surplus?. We have sacrificed time with our families to meet the ?needs of the business?. It is now time for Verizon to compensate us for these sacrifices.

Local 6171 Bargaining Committee met this morning with the Company. The Union handed Verizon five proposals. The Company in return submitted seven to your Bargaining Committee for consideration. All of the proposals from Verigreedy were concessions to healthcare and other benefits.
