Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #52

Today the Committees met to discuss the company Health and Safety and discipline policy. There has been no movement on any major issues at this time. The Committees continue to meet to move toward a contract settlement. Your Bargaining Committee is committed to reaching a Just contract. Stay united.
 
While we understand that local management has said the east has reached a Tentative Agreement, the Federal Mediator has not released the "gag order" to speak about the details. It appears that the north is still haggling over some items.  The mediator has not given the go ahead.  Please share with all the members that what the company is releasing may not be completely accurate. The CWA Bargaining Committee in the east cannot release any information until the gag order is lifted. Brother and Sisters, keep in mind even though the east “appears” to have a Tentative Agreement, remember your Bargaining Committee still has to bargain to reach a fair and equitable contract for the hard working members in Texas.
