Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #82

The Union and Company met today. The Union presented a complete proposal package to the Company with many modifications and movement toward the Company’s position. The modifications included medical premiums, sickness and disability, comprehensive medical contributions, cross functional work sharing, medical deductibles and out of pocket maximums, ratification bonus, work at home trial, a new payment system and wages.
The Company and the Union met again in the afternoon. The Company rejected the Union’s latest package for a fair settlement. The Company made many statements on their inability to accept the proposal the Union presented early in the day. The Company continues to attack on healthcare, pensions, wages and sickness and disability waivers.
