Pensions: Highlights of the Pension changes are as follows:
1. Language clean up. The word “frozen” was removed and replaced with “finally determined and fixed.”
2. Issues with employees with less than 60 months of service were addressed and improved.
3. Issues with all employees that move to a higher wage classification during the life of this agreement was addressed and improved.
Sickness and Disability: Highlights of the Sickness and Disability are as follows:
1. Waiting day waiver for admission to a hospital has been restored, however, we were unable to successfully restore the waiver for outpatient surgery.
The $1100.00 ratification bonus and the $650.00 for full time and $325.00 for part time HRA has been added back if this tentative agreement is ratified by April 24, 2013.
There were no changes to the Medical Contributions from the previous tentative agreement that was voted on.
There were no changes in the wage package.
Other than the changes we’ve outlined above, all components of the previous tentative agreement that was voted on remain unchanged.
