Windstream Bargaining Report #4

Windstream Sugar Land Bargaining Report #4

The Company and Union Bargaining Committees met the week of May 12. A full review of the status of the 21 Union Proposals was discussed to bring everyone up to date since proposals were initially passed. During the week the Union passed 4 additional proposals including Job Application Procedures. The parties tentatively agreed to the Unions proposal. The Company passed a revised proposal on Vacations and the Union presented a counter proposal to the revision. Productive discussions took place during the week focusing on the things that set Sugar Land apart from other areas of the Company. The Union passed 4 additional proposals for the Company’s consideration There are still some subjects of bargaining that the parties are far apart on but we are encouraged that when a TA package is achieved, it will meet the needs of a deserving Bargaining Unit, while also positioning the Company success in the Sugar Land area. Dates for the next meeting have been scheduled and we look forward to further productive bargaining.
