Verizon Bargaining Report #34

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company today. Unfortunately, the Company rejected all of our proposals and refused to make meaningful progress toward a fair contract.

The Company continues to claim that it has offered a fair agreement. The members have already spoken—and they rejected that agreement. We will not ignore the clear message our members sent by accepting a contract that does not meet their needs or properly recognize their contributions.

Your Bargaining Committee remains united and determined. We are continuing to work diligently to develop strong proposals that address the issues that matter most to our members. We will not settle for less than a fair and just contract.

But we cannot do this alone. Your participation in our mobilization activities will make a difference at the bargaining table.

This fight is not over. The mobilization YOU showed after the tentative agreement must not slow down. Every action you take sends a clear message to the Company: we will not stand for a contract that is not fair to our members.

We will continue to stand together, stand strong, and fight for the fair contract our members deserve.

Stay united. Stay strong. Keep mobilizing. The fight continues.

Participate in all mobilization activities, informational picketing and Strike Vote if you have not already done so. Time is running out to do this and it is imperative that you show your committee the support that is necessary to hold the line in negotiations.
