Good afternoon Brothers and Sisters,
Your bargaining chair, Cheryl Dawson, is currently going through a family medical emergency. Unfortunately this will limit her availability this week. To allow her time to take care of her family, both the Union and the company have agreed to extend the expiration of the contract until Saturday, August 8, 2026. The extension means that the current contract will remain in full force and effect until midnight on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
Your committee will continue to meet this week and work through the company’s proposals we currently have. We will also be meeting with the company virtually this week and plan to meet with the company next week in person in an effort to finalize a tentative agreement.
Continue with this week’s Mobilization activity by taking a picture of yourself holding a sign in support of bargaining and email to [email protected]. Example phrases have been emailed to your Unit Directors. Sign up ALL nonmembers.
