Bargaining committee representatives of KCUR 89.3 and Classical KC 91.9 FM, alongside leaders of CWA Local 6360 and CWA representative Gerald Murray, reconvened with the University of Missouri – Kansas City for their sixth bargaining session on Tuesday, February 24.

We heard the University’s counters to four of the nine remaining proposals we have submitted, including many issues important to the unit, including:

  • Safety
  • Pay for work in higher classification
  • Overtime
  • Orientation
  • Non-discrimination

We plan to submit counters to some of these and other previously discussed proposals at our next meeting.

We are continuing to work toward some of the biggest issues important to Unit members, especially artificial intelligence protections.

Following thorough discussions with the bargaining committee, we anticipate continuing to negotiate these proposals, and could come to more tentative agreements soon. We will continue bargaining Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
