Fidium (Consolidated) Bargaining Update #9

The Union and Company met on September 18, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas. The Union and Company had 2 more TA’d Articles and 1 more TA’d MOA.

Tentative Agreements were reached on the following:

  • Article 23 - Health and Safety provided language protecting employees should the Company implement a Return to Work policy for employees on short term disabilities.
  • Article 18- Disability Benefits & Worker’s Compensation this article will say that after January 1, 2026, any new short term disability claim, long term disability claim, or worker’s compensation claim will be under the current Company Short Term Disability plan. The Union did add language that says that any changes in the policy must be presented to the Union no less than 30 days notice and that the Company will meet with the Union to bargain the effects of any changes for bargained for employees.

Data showed since January 1, 2022, there were a total of 25 short term disability claims under our current CBA language. Had these 25 cases been under the current Company plan, they would have saved a combined total of almost $72,000 in lost wages and 43 PTO days.

Again, we have added language that will allow us to continue to bargain for any changes that may affect our bargained for members.

Lastly today, September 18, 2025, the Union and Company reached an agreement on a new Memorandum of Agreement that states that the two parties will continue to have open dialogue concerning enhanced performance bonuses that are beneficial to both parties. This MOA is good until December 31, 2026. This MOA does not change the current language, it just opens the door for the possibility of more bonuses to employees.

The Company and Union have also began discussions on healthcare and wages. This discussion will continue in tomorrow’s session.

The Union and Company will meet again on September 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM before traveling home for the weekend. Stay tuned as we have made great progress towards reaching a final Tentative Agreement during the bargaining sessions this week.
