CWA Local 6171 - Valor Uniti Group - Bargaining Report #1

The CWA Local 6171 Valor Uniti Group Bargaining Committee has been working diligently in preparation for the upcoming contract negotiations. Over the past several weeks, we distributed bargaining surveys to our membership and are pleased to report an outstanding response. The feedback we received has been invaluable in identifying the issues and priorities that matter most to our members.

After carefully reviewing every survey, the committee met to discuss the results and evaluate the concerns, suggestions, and recommendations submitted by the membership. We took the time to ensure that every voice was considered as we developed our bargaining priorities. Our goal has been to create proposals that accurately reflect the needs and interests of the employees we represent.

Based on the survey results, the committee has drafted contract proposals and prepared revisions to existing Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) that we believe will strengthen our contract and improve working conditions, wages, benefits, and other important workplace issues. These proposals are the product of thoughtful discussion, collaboration, and a commitment to representing the will of our membership.

Official bargaining is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 27, 2026. As negotiations move forward, the committee remains committed to advocating in good faith for a fair and equitable agreement. We understand the importance of keeping members informed throughout the bargaining process and will provide updates as appropriate while respecting the confidentiality necessary for productive negotiations.

We appreciate the participation and support of every member who completed a survey and shared their ideas. Your input has guided our preparations, and we will continue working hard to achieve the strongest possible contract for all members of CWA Local 6171.
