CenturyLink Central Arkansas Local 6171 Bargaining Report #19

Again today the two committees met in an effort to reach an agreement. The Union’s committee caucused most of the day while the chair and Local President went on a sidebar with the Company’s chair. The Union had put together a package in order to try and move things along. The Union also gave the Company a counter proposal on the HealthCare language in order to move the two sides closer together.

The Company was adamant that they didn’t want anything that would take away their right to terminate the previous HealthCare plan they were not interested in language that would change the intent. After further discussion, the two parties decided to reconvene tomorrow for more discussion.

Remember to wear your Union Red on Thursdays and Black out on Friday! We will be in communication about upcoming mobilization efforts! Let your supervisors and community know that we are in talks and that we want a FAIR and EQUITABLE contract!
