CenturyLink Kansas/Missouri Bargaining Report #2

The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink) met Monday, January 23 through today, January 27, to discuss bargaining proposals presented last week.
The Union and Company agreed to the following Union Proposals; Night Differential, 4/10 Meals, Overtime Meals, B&L, Training Policy, Seniority Portability, Out of Classification Pay and MOA regarding Job Titles. We still have the following Union Proposals on the table; Employee Safety, Overtime Payments, Holidays, Grievance Procedure, Lead Differential, Pensions, Card Check and Evolving Technologies.
The Union and Company agreed to the following Company Proposals; Embarq to CenturyLink name, Effective Date, EIPP, Health & Welfare, Termination Pay, WFM Language, Grievance/Arbitration, Uniforms, Pension KS/MO, Savings Plan and Elimination of Job Titles.
The Company and Union are “far apart” on the following; No Strike, Use of Contractors, Job Bidding, Short Term Disability, Bridging of Service, Job Classifications, Work Rules & Safety, Recognition and Incentive Programs and Combining Job Titles!!!
We are scheduled to meet again on Monday, January 30, 2012, and Tuesday, January 31, 2012, up to the midnight expiration.
