Consolidated Communications of Texas Company Bargaining Report #20

On December 18, 2019, the Consolidated Communications bargaining team walked away from our contract negotiations. The Company wanted the Union’s bargaining team to withdraw a Union proposal and accept a Company proposal without even trying to negotiate a fair resolution.  We reminded the Company that this is not a one way street and we would not be threatened to just give up what we felt is important to our members.

After five months of trying to get the Company back to the table, we finally restarted our negotiations with Consolidated on June 11, 2020, with all the proposals that were still left on the table on December 18, 2019. We made much progress on some proposals and will be working on a few others we have left on the table to reach a fair contract for our members.

We are scheduled to meet again with the Company on July 1, 2020.

It’s time for all our members to let the Company know we want a fair contract now.
