Multiband Bargaining Report #3

This is to advise you that the Union committee worked all day Wednesday and late into the evening writing counter proposals to the Company’s devastating proposals, which affects every member in this bargaining unit.  The committee continued to work on Thursday morning to complete their work before we left Paducah.

The reason your Union committee left town is because the Company scheduled flights out of town on Wednesday. They advised the Union they needed to be done by 11:30 a.m. so they could leave for the airport.

The Union and the Company are scheduled to meet again beginning on March 14, 2011. The Company advised the Union that they will only bargain until noon on Friday March 18, 2011.

They also advised the Union that they only want to bargain between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. This contract expires on March 12, 2011, and they don’t want to meet again until March 14, 2011.

The facts are, the Company is proposing major take backs in their proposal, and each of these take backs will effect each and every one of you and your families.

YOU AS UNION MEMBERS NEED TO MOBILIZE, LET THE COMPANY KNOW THAT THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

TELL THE COMPANY THAT YOU WANT A FAIR CONTRACT. LET YOUR MANAGERS KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THE COMPANY IS ACTING.

THE UNION IS PREPARED TO BARGAIN EVERY DAY TO REACH A FAIR AGREEMENT, AND THIS CAN BE DONE WITH YOUR SUPPORT.
