Mobility Bargaining Report #21
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met today, Sunday, February 19, 2012 with the Company . The Union Committee questioned the Company on their proposed changes to the Grievance Procedure. The Company has presented a proposal to the Union regarding changing the Vacation contract article. The Company is proposing that vacation be accrued instead of earned. The CWA Committee reviewed the proposed changes and presented a data request to the Company concerning vacations. The Company has also presented a proposal to change the day after Thanksgiving as a paid Holiday. The Union Committee ended the meeting emphasizing to the Company that they have not addressed contracting out of work, the management rights language throughout the Labor Agreement and quota relief in the Retail Stores.
The Union Committee continues to review all data and is working on a complete package of counter proposals to present to the Company. The current Labor Agreement expires this Friday, February 24, 2012. Keep Mobilizing, we will continue to update this report as necessary.
