Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #14

Monday, July 30, 2012, the Local 6171 Bargaining Committee met with the Company to resume bargaining. The Union handed the Company another proposal bringing the Union Proposals to 28. The Company was also presented with 2 additional information requests.
 
Verizon did not return any back to the Union…during the afternoon session the company made a presentation on Verizon’s proposal on pensions. We appreciate everyone that attended and participated in the rally Saturday. Try to sign a new member today. We need to stand strong and Mobilize. The Company is asking for major concessions, and only by staying united we’ll be able to get a contract. Remember; wear RED on Thursday and Black on Friday.
