Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #13

Friday, July 27, 2012 concluded week three of bargaining between Local 6171 and Verigreedy. To date, your Bargaining Committee has submitted 27 proposals to the Company. Verizon has given the Union 21 proposals for our consideration. Most of the Company’s proposals were deep concessions to health care, pensions, and sickness and disability benefits among other proposals that are not in our member’s best interest.
                                                                                                                                                                                              
Today, we had another full Committee session with the Company. The Company presented three counter proposals to the Union. The Bargaining Committee then returned to the meeting room to disseminate the proposals.
