Verizon Midwest Bargaining Report #6

Bargaining resumed Thursday.  The Union presented a revised proposal on Vacation time and re-emphasized the importance of guaranteed weekly Closed Key time off line to meet the ever changing demands of the sales environment.  The Union asked additional questions on the Company's proposal to increase illness absence days in waiting and the removal of absences waivers.  Discussion on changes to the Medical Plan continued.  The Company gave a brief presentation on Work at Home in the afternoon and answered questions from the Union on Cross Functional Work Share with respect to added job duties.  The Union bargaining team is continuing to review the information provided by the Company on the Sales Incentive Compensation plan.  The Company presented a revised set of proposals with minor improvements.  The Union is continuing to review the revised package this evening.  Thank you to everyone who wore RED in support of the UNION!
