AT&T Mobility Bargaining Report #2

Bargaining began today in Austin, Texas to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement for District 6 AT&T Mobility employees.  Opening statements by both the Communications Workers of America and the Company were presented, followed by a discussion regarding an overview of the Union’s proposals.

The CWA Bargaining Committee presented proposals to the Company on the following contract articles, Article 6 Management Rights, Article 13 Work Assignments, Article 16 Safety, Article 19 Basis of Compensation, Article 26 Waiver of Further Bargaining, as well as benefit items, Quota Relief and Commission Plans for Retail Sales. The Union Bargaining Committee told the Company they expect a significant wage increase.

Bargaining has recessed for the day so that both sides can review the information discussed today. Your bargaining committee will meet again tomorrow morning with the Company to resume negotiations.
