CONSOLIDATED (LUFKIN/CONROE) BARGAINING REPORT #5

The Negotiating Committees met up until yesterday, Wednesday afternoon.  While we have made progress in some areas, the Company has not addressed all of the Union's  demands and information requests.  They put a last offer on the table that does not add up to a fair contract.  Do you think a 1.75%  raise  in each of the next three years is fair?  Do you think that cost shifting to retirees and requiring them to pay 100% of healthcare premiums is fair?  Do you think forcing Construction employees to perform OST and COST work while contractors do the lion's share of work is fair?  Do you think never bidding Construction jobs again is fair?  Do you think adding President's Day but taking away the Perfect Attendance Award is fair?   We don't!!!!!

We are preparing a response to the Company's last offer.  We are also putting the Company on notice that we are prepared to fully exercise our rights under the National Labor Relations Act if they do not respond to our requests for information by this afternoon.  

TELL YOUR SUPERVISOR YOU WANT AND DESERVE A FAIR CONTRACT!!!!
