Consolidated Communications (Katy, Texas) Bargaining Report #7 - Contract Ratification
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Company today in Conroe, Texas and a Tentative Agreement was reached.
The CWA Bargaining Committee met with the membership in Katy, Texas at 6:00 pm for a contract explanation meeting. At the end of the meeting, the membership voted and the new 3 year contract was ratified.
- New 3 year contract through March 31, 2020
- Wage Increases: 2% effective upon ratification 2017
2% effective March 1, 2018
1.75% effective March 1, 2019
- Performance bonus 2018, 2019, 2020
- Health Insurance: Wellness plan $650 per year
- Standard plan 1/1/2018 – 22.5% of total premium
1/1/2019 – 23.5% of total premium
1/1/2020 – 24% of total premium
- HDP 1/1/2018 – 6% of total premium
1/1/2019 – 7% of total premium
1/1/2020 – 8% of total premium
- Healthcare benefit coverage for terminated employees will end the last day of the month in which employment ends
- Work schedules will be made on the basis of seniority with the exception of employees who voluntarily request tours that include hours other than 8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The 50% of the least senior employees in the respective work groups will rotate coverage requirements for all other tours
- MOU – Three employees that are in the Construction Technician classification will be moved to the job classification Outside Service Technician
- On-call status: If an employee is called out more than one time per day, a second call out minimum shall not be paid until the minimum hours of the two or three hours has elapsed
