Windstream Bargaining Report #14

This morning the committees passed several proposals and held lengthy discussions on Article 8 – Union Activity and Leaves, Contract Labor, Board and Lodging improvements and Forced Overtime.

The Company passed a revised proposal that included Illness Treatment, Vacations, Working Practices, Job Application Procedure, Group Insurance, Holidays, Wage Schedule Guide, Wages, Retail Sales Consultant, Reclassifications, 401k, Long Term Disability, Management Rights, Retiree Medical and Group Health Insurance.

Several minor items were resolved; however, the major issues are still outstanding. We will meet as long as necessary to secure a fair and equitable contract that reflects the company profits and success that our members contribute to achieving.

The committees adjourned to study the proposals and meet again on Monday, February 28th.
