The City Council and CWA Local 6012 membership has approved the City Of Broken Arrow
Agreement between the parties for fiscal year 2012. We thank everyone for all their support during
this round bargaining.
Dear Union Brothers and Sisters:
Now that the election is complete and our members have spoken, as your newly elected Vice President, I am extremely excited about our future in District 6.
By standing united and working together we will prevail in our struggles against Corporate America. With certainty, I believe that our struggles will be many and the challenges will be even greater, but I am also confident that our district is prepared to do whatever it takes to secure the future of our members.
In the next few days I will be meeting with my Staff to discuss and roll out our agenda. Until then, it will be "Business as Usual." Upon completion I plan to meet with all Locals for discussion and recommendations.
It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your Vice President, and I am looking forward to working with you in the upcoming years.
In Unity and Solidarity
The full committees met Thursday in Dallas. The Union passed both new and revised proposals, and discussions were held on the proposals. The Company rejected the new proposal on Joint Health Care Cost Containment Committee and Health Care Reimbursement Accounts.
