Jewish Family Services Bargaining Report # 11
Bargaining Report #11
September 3 & 8, 2025
Union members and friends,
It’s been a bit quiet on the bargaining front as JFS cancelled both of our scheduled sessions in August. We want to be clear: the current pace is unacceptable. Workers deserve timely, good-faith negotiations. We are pushing JFS to move more quickly so we can secure a fair contract that reflects the needs and contributions of staff.
Despite the slowdowns, we recently held two bargaining sessions where we reached tentative agreement on two proposals. This is progress, and it allows us to turn our attention to new proposals.
We also finally began substantive work on one of the 11 proposals our team submitted back in July—proposals JFS has now had in hand for nearly two months without review. This delay shows just how important it is that we keep the pressure on. Together, we remain committed to winning a strong contract and holding JFS accountable to the process.
In solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team
