The Union and Company reached a tentative agreement early this morning, March 15, 2022, on a new 3-year contract. 

The following are some of the highlights:

  • Wages, 2%  3/15/ 22,  2%  3/15/ 23 and  2%  3/15/ 24.
  • Improve Grievance and Arbitration language (stop the clock).
  • Doubled Boot Allowance $150 to be used by December 31, 2024
  • Increased Standby Pay
  • Vacation/PH options associated with Worker’s Compensation
  • Vacation protection associated with mandatory overtime
  • Shorten time frame to achieve more vacation
  • 4 hour notice same day mandatory overtime
  • Sunday schedule differential
  • Holidays, maintain 2X pay after 8 hours on a Holiday
  • Add Martin Luther King, Jr Holiday
  • Maintain Union Leave of Absence
  • Improve disability language
  • Layoff/Contracting protection language
  • Maintain MOA’s;
    • Hourly Paid Employees Pension
    • Lump Sum Pre-Retirement Benefit
    • Lump Sum
    • Payroll Deduction for COPE
    • Common Interest Forum (CIF)
    • Hourly Relocation Plan
    • Interns
    • VEBA

This is not an all-inclusive list of changes.  Arrangements are being made for a contract explanation call.  Please consult with your local officers for a date and time of the contract explanation.
